The victory became one of the most iconic moments of the Games and in U.S. sports. Equally well-known was the television call of the final seconds of the game by Al Michaels for ABC, in which he declared: "Do you believe in miracles? YES!" In 1999, Sports Illustrated named the "Miracle on Ice" the top sports moment of the 20th century.[8] As part of its centennial celebration in 2008, the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) named the "Miracle on Ice" as the best international ice hockey story of the past 100 years.[9]
In 2004, Walt Disney Pictures released the film Miracle, directed by Gavin O'Connor and starring Kurt Russell as Brooks. Al Michaels recreated his commentary for most of the games. The final ten seconds, however, and his "Do you believe in miracles? YES!" call, were from the original broadcast and used in the film since the filmmakers felt that they could not ask him to recreate the emotion he felt at that moment. The film was dedicated to Brooks, who died shortly after principal photography completed.

Throughout the series, there were three ways someone could obtain a Miracle Box: one is through guardian training as someone becomes a guardian's successor while the other could involve stealing as Hawk Moth stole the box from Master Fu in "Miracle Queen". And the only other way a guardian could obtain a miracle box without going through the initiation spell is in the state emergency.
And yet it's unknown how the succession works if a guardian dies while in charge of Miracle Box but has no successor. And if two or more guardians can be assigned to guard a miracle box. If in the event there is no Miracle Box or by certain circumstances if possible if it's destroyed it's unknown if the guardian responsible for the box will retain their guardianship status or not.
The miracle question is a popular intervention in Solution-Focused Therapy. It asks the client to imagine and discuss a possible world where problems are removed and issues addressed (Strong & Pyle, 2009).
The miracle question prompts and motivates negotiation between therapist and client. When introduced into the session, it typically offers a departure from the prior dialogue. The conversation then proceeds to work out the full meaning of the answer given (Strong & Pyle, 2009).
When the client considers the question, it generates new dialogue with the therapist with the miracle as a clear focus. Whether a starting point or later in the interview, it introduces (or reintroduces) further potential for growth into the conversation (Strong & Pyle, 2009).
Language becomes more than a tool for understanding. The process of asking, sharing, and understanding the miracle question communicates experiences and wishes between the speaker and the listener (Strong & Pyle, 2009).
Learning to use the miracle question positively in groups to generate conversation and progress requires a little more thought. It becomes even more critical to phrase the question well, create goals, engage, find exceptions to the problems, remain patient, and respond to each client in the group constructively (Stith et al., 2010).
The potential of the miracle question comes from its ability to create understanding and the awareness it generates through ongoing dialogue. Such questions talk new and additional meaning into being and help shape the therapeutic outcome (Strong & Pyle, 2009).
Research into asking and answering the miracle question shows it creates dialogue through negotiation. The meaning is constructed between client and therapist socially, while they responsively negotiate what they say and how they say it (Strong & Pyle, 2009).

The Nintendo Switch version of HOME allows two-way transfer to and from all Switch core series games. Both the mobile and Switch versions allow one-way transfer from Pokémon Bank (only with a Premium Plan) and Pokémon GO. Support for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet is planned for spring 2023.
The Nintendo Switch version of HOME allows two-way transfer to and from all Generation VIII games, beginning with Pokémon Sword and Shield. Pokémon transferred from Pokémon Bank or GO Transporter that are compatible with Sword and Shield can be transferred to and from Sword and Shield freely, and retain their movesets, including all past-generation exclusive moves regardless of whether they are usable or unusable in Sword and Shield.
Pokémon do not display specific met locations while in the Nintendo Switch version of HOME, instead only displaying the region corresponding to their game of origin. As of v2.0.0, the mobile version will display both a region and a location name within that region, but for Pokémon transferred from the Virtual Console games through Poké Transporter, the latter will simply be a second copy of the region name, and for Pokémon transferred from Generation III or IV, the latter location will be displayed as "Poké Shifter" (the transliterated Japanese name for Poké Transfer).
Effectively, HOME as of v2.0.0 keeps track of three sets of incompatible data for each Pokémon; however, only one set of data will be displayed when a Pokémon's summary is viewed in HOME. For example, the Legends: Arceus set of data will display significantly different stats and no Ability compared to the other two sets of data (even though the Ability is internally remembered by Legends: Arceus and is not game-specific data). On the Nintendo Switch version, only the Sword/Shield set of data will be displayed for all Pokémon unless the application is currently connected to Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl or Legends: Arceus. The type of Poké Ball shown will change depending on which set of data is being displayed, though the origin mark will always be correct. On the mobile version, the set of data displayed for a Pokémon is picked depending on the last game it was previously in (or Sword/Shield by default if that Pokémon has never been in a Generation VIII game). The type of Poké Ball shown will always be correct.[6][7][8]
If HOME attempts to display (for example) the Sword/Shield set of data for a Pokémon incompatible with Sword/Shield, the results vary depending on version. On the mobile version of HOME, this can only happen if a Pokémon incompatible with Sword/Shield is transferred from Bank or GO, and the app will display the stats and moveset as they last were in Bank (or as determined by GO Transporter). On the Nintendo Switch version before v2.0.0, the application behaved identically to the mobile version. On the Nintendo Switch version from v2.0.0 onward, the app will not display any stats or moves for incompatible Pokémon.[9][10]
At least some event Pokémon appear to be impossible to trade for about a week to a few weeks after their initial release. This restriction applies separately to even different language versions of the same event Pokémon if they are released at different times.[11][12]
Upon completing the National Pokédex up to Eternatus, an Original Color Magearna can be received. There were inconsistent problems with receiving this for the first month of availability, with some users not receiving a gift and others getting glitched versions, even upon completing a Living Pokédex. These were later fixed.
Depositing a Shiny Pokémon will register both the Shiny and regular entries for that species and form. Unlike non-Shiny Pokémon on the mobile version, depositing a Shiny Pokémon with a gender difference will only register the Shiny entry for that gender.
As of the v2.0.0 update, the mobile version of HOME now also keeps track of regional Pokédexes for Pokémon originating from the following games, along with the number of species required to complete each Pokédex:
- A "Receive all Pokémon" feature has been added to the Wonder Box.- The date a Pokémon was first met is now displayed in its Trainer notes.- From the "OT" (Original Trainer) field in a Pokémon's detailed information, you can now search for Pokémon with the same original Trainer.- You can now specify "Language" and "Poké Ball" when searching for Pokémon.- You can now arrange your list of Pokémon in the same order used by your Pokémon Boxes in the Nintendo Switch version of Pokémon HOME.(Note: This option will be available only for users who have linked to the Nintendo Switch version.)- Other issues have also been addressed in order to ensure a user-friendly experience.
Update info (mobile devices)- Added compatibility with Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl- Added compatibility with Pokémon Legends: Arceus- Added Pokédex info from various games- Added Challenges and stickers- Added information about where a Pokémon was first met to its details screenFor details on these features, please see the new information added to the Help menu on the mobile version of Pokémon HOME.- Other issues have also been addressed in order to ensure a user-friendly experience.
